Nov 2009 - The San Elijo Lagoon Nature Center, a 5,600 square foot environmentally friendly nature center, replaces the previous center and is the first public building in San Diego County to receive the USGBC's highest certification as LEED Platinum, through the extensive use of natural daylighting, renewable building materials, radiant floor heating and Photovoltaic power.
